The Freshwater Bene-FISH-al™ Starter kit contains 2 pouches of fish food, 2 stirrers, one DrTim's Bene-FISH-al™ silicone tray, storage bag and recipe card.

DrTim’s Aquatics Bene·FISH·al™ fish foods are a new and unique way to give your fish a healthy and complete diet that is grain and gluten-free. Fish do not contain the necessary enzymes to digest gluten, grains and fillers that then just pass through the fish becoming waste that pollutes the aquarium making more work for the aquarist.  Also as these ingredients pass through the fish they remove vitamins and other important materials leading to overall poor fish health.  Long-term feeding of grains and gluten also results in fatty livers and poor skeletal structure.  Being grain and gluten-free DrTim’s Bene·FISH·al™ fish food produces up to 60% less waste then traditional flake and pellet foods helping eliminate stringy poop and bloated fish while keeping your fish healthier and your tank cleaner.

DrTim’s Aquatics Bene·FISH·al™ fish food is a complete diet containing all the necessary ingredients to keep your fish healthy and fortified with vitamins.  Made with protein rich menhaden and salmon; vitamin-rich carrots, spinach and kelp; natural anti-oxidant blueberries; phytonutrient rich spirulina; probiotic cultures of lactobacillus and marigolds for color enhancement. No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives and 100% Ethoxyquin-freeBene·FISH·al™ is GMO-free and contains probiotics developed specially for fish and used in the aquaculture industry.  This unique combination means Bene·FISH·al™ fish foods provide a healthy diet that supports your fish during all life stages.

In addition, DrTim’s Aquatics Bene·FISH·al™ fish food is completely customizable using a wide selection of DrTim’s Bene·FISH·al™ EXTRAS that includes peas, garlic, a seaweed medley, mealworms, river shrimp, Gammarus and Spirulina.  Our EXTRAS come in easy to use jars with a built-in grinder cap so that just the right amount of EXTRA, in the right size, can be added to the fish food or some can just be ground over the tank as a food themselves or as a treat.

Making DrTim’s Aquatics Bene·FISH·al™ fish food is easy!  Add the contents of one small fish food pouch to a container (or 3 scoops from the economy container) to ½ cup of boiling water. Stir for 2 minutes.  Now add EXTRAS to customize the fish food to the needs of your fish*.  Pour and smooth out the fish food mixture into one of DrTim’s Aquatics Bene·FISH·al™ fish food tray and place in the freezer for 2 hours.  Pop out the 90 fish food cubes and store in freezer.

*Medications can also be added to our fish food before freezing.

Follow the manufacturer’s directions for the proper amount of medication to add.

Bene-Fish-al Fresh water starter kit
Fantastic product! Very easy to use and all my Cichlids from South America and Western Africa gobbled it up! Looking for a tray to fit the bill and this was it. Can be used for other mix and feed powder also.

I wanted to update my review regarding the Bene-Fish-al Fish Food. First of all I'm very grateful that Dr. Tim's staff reached out to me regarding my review because my fish weren't eating the food. However, they said that sometimes it may take 2-3 days for them to get familiar with the different food. Boy, were they right!!! My fish love it, and eat it like it's going out of style! Thank-you Dr. Tim and staff for making healthy, natural and affordable products for our little swimmers. My tank is still showing 0ppm's for ammonia, nitrate & nitrite. And my pH is at 6.8-7.0.

My fish won't eat the food, however, I love that it didn't contaminate the water. But please check out my reviews for the other products. My aquarium is at its finest after using Dr Tim's products.

Awesome product... Fish love it!
My fish love it! Easy to make, feeding time is so much easier. And my tank is a lot cleaner. I added garlic to the mix to help with their health. Only down side, it smells bad when you make it. Lol
